The Friends of DWGNRA is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the cultural, historical, natural and recreational resources of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
As you can imagine, as one of the top 20 visited national parks in the United States, that can take a lot of work!
Donations to the Friends help support:
- Park publications
- Historical resource preservation and management
- Trail development, maintenance, and enhancement
- Annual River Clean Up
- Educational programs, lectures, Family Fun Days

Bureaucracy can be a real challenge. Luckily, the Friends are there to help.
When funding is low, the Friends have stepped in to help finance education and stewardship programs. When upcoming local and state projects threaten park resources, the Friends are there to provide a voice.
